Safety is always on everyone's minds these days.
The handiest tool a woman can carry in her purse is not the cell phone, but a
pair of scissors.
Scissors, came in handy one day when my grandchild had completely flip herself around in her baby carrier and the straps was against her neck.
She sure had grown out of her carrier, but somehow this was a special situation.
You can't always see what's going on in the back of the car when the child is faced opposite you unless you have one of those baby car mirrors, usually made of a reflective material.
Sounds of the child being a little more than restless made me stop the car and to check out what was wrong. It was a good think I did because the belt was pressing on her neck and she was struggling against it. A pair of scissors was always in my handbag and so I wasted no time cutting the straps.
There's no time to figure out how to untangle her and so that was the best thing and a new car seat was the order for the day.
And so scissors win in my book as a necessary tool to have at all times and where ever you go.
