Toys and Games Are Popular Items To Shop For This Time Of Year

LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical TableHOLIDAY SHOPPING WITH A PURPOSE

Holiday shopping includes purchasing gifts for your grandchildren as well as your other family members.

For young boys, it is all about the video game software and electronic
or power control cars, trucks or other items for my family. My grandsons
have every Hot Wheel car ever made! They just never tire of toy cars, buses, and trucks.

However, the 6 year old knows how to play chess and they,(a 4 year old) are great with basketball already. And so, sports items should be high on my list. So far, they are interested in all sports in some form or another.

Tennis balls, basket balls, and baseballs are a mainstay in my car's trunk. It's nice to have options when we go by a park, to have those sports items available.

I find it amazing how they seem to know what to do with a new game; some
of them I can hardly figure out. I'm glad they are interested in physical sports because there's got to be a balance for health reasons for sure.

Obesity in our nation is surely on the front page and for reasons we all know, young children and many adults too, are not active enough.
So, when choosing a holiday gift this year, perhaps we all can
be mindful to shop with a purpose.

Crafting For The Holidays/Make Your Own Gift Baskets

Natural Fiber Sisal Small Fruit Basket Yellow/Pink Free ShippingColor Me Crazy Playtime Snacks & Activity Gift Bag Set - A Great Gift Basket For Kids!  Crafting this time of year is good for many reasons.  I use to make decorative items for my home and
and really cherish sprucing up everything.  That was great when my daughter was young, now I seem to
craft any old time.

I find that with the economic crunch occurring today, crafting is a great way to make items as gifts and still find new ways of using your artist skills and save money.

Great gifts to give is food. Food is always useful, especially when you know what the person like.

Gift baskets(especially food) that you can make yourself  or purchase are always a delight.  I love getting them myself and use them to get over the holidays.

You can put a gift basket together very easily.  It don't have to be fancy.  Just a basket with graffiti( you can make your own graffiti: cut some old Christmas wrap paper or make some designs on a plain paper and cut it up in a shredder) your gifts and a cute little bow around the rim or somewhere else on the basket.  You can make your own gift cards and tags, making it so personal.
You can throw something special in the basket that will be funny or some type of surprise.
What about a picture you took a long time ago of them that they haven't seen, or some tickets
to a sports outing.   If the Basket is for a child, I know how much my grandchildren lot Chucky Cheese,
and so tokens from that company is an awesome inclusion.

A family basket gift or just one family gift is great, because you can include items for everyone, saving you from having to buy separate gifts.

Crafted hats and scarves are always welcomed gifts.  Remember how cold it was last year?

Cookies and snacks are great gifts-even if someone else bakes them for you or you know a great baker.  When giving homemade cookies as a gift,  a good idea to list the ingredients.  Especially if someone have a peanut or some other allergy.
You can purchase those colorful (looks like chinese take-out boxes) from your craft store and
fill them up with cookies or candy.

Now is surely the time to get started with  gifts of love-Crafts.
